Affiliate Marketing – A Great Place to Start Your Home Business

Imagine that you had your own online mall that let you sell whatever you want to whomever you want twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, and the sales people never get tired, or complain about how hard they work or their pay. What if you had to give limited customer service and no actual contact with the customers at all. Suppose you had the luxury of just marketing the best products online and just directed ravenous prospects to another company’s website, and you got paid for doing so.

Welcome to affiliate marketing! You just promote other people’s products or services for a check. No headaches or hassles, just the benefits of being able to promote what you and many other people like and love to buy. To join most affiliate programs is free, and a great way to promote them is through article marketing. Article marketing allows you to get targeted, high quality traffic to your site with your affiliate link for free. It’s a great way to get started in your home based business. Master this process of getting free traffic to your web site first, and then move on to another marketing strategy.

At first, you might think that you don’t know what to write about, or that you have nothing to offer in the conversation, that is a mistake. You do have ideas that are of benefit to others, and that is one of the reasons that when choosing an affiliate program, begin with what You are interested in. It will keep you engaged and interested as well as interesting!

All the Best!

Action Learn Your Affiliate Business

You want to develop your home-based business but feel isolated and unsure? One of the downsides of working for yourself is the loss of social interaction that frequently accompanies working for someone else.

Sometimes the issues involved in building your own business seem overwhelming – computer viruses, accounting, marketing strategies, web development, search engine optimization, privacy legislation, tax returns, anti-spam legislation, skeptical relatives and so the list goes on.

Action learning is one way to overcome this sense of isolation and uncertainty, build confidence and continuously improve your Internet business.

Action learning involves learning through action while collaborating with others on personal and business development. It is based on the principles of collaboration, mutual respect and honesty.

Learning to collaborate

Once we build our own business, we typically develop the competitive mindset that we need to survive. We research the competition, determine where our competitive advantage lies, decide what products and services we will offer at what prices and determine how to position ourselves within the competititve marketplace. It is very easy to isolate ourselves and withdraw from our normal circle of supportive relationships. However, it is possible to develop and maintain new relationships while building your business.

For example, I have three professional women friends who have been meeting monthly for a number of years over coffee by the river. They meet to explore with each other ways to develop themselves and grow their respective businesses.

At each meeting, they focus on a major issue for one person while the other two act as critical friends. Sometimes, they may take in turns within one meeting to offer personal or business issues for discussion. The number of issues covered in a meeting will depend on the available time and the depth of the issues involved. Issues may be personal, relationship, family or business. They recognise that life balance is critical to business success and to their capacity to offer value to their clients/customers.

Supportive challenge through mutual respect

The action learning approach combines support with challenge. The aim is to support each other emotionally while being prepared to challenge each other intellectually.

The challenge comes from asking fresh questions that are designed to unearth fundamental assumptions or beliefs about the nature of the problem being addressed. Often our own false beliefs about ourselves, our business or our competition holds us back from realising personal and business growth.

In our everday life we often experience the separation of support and challenge. Support without challenge can reinforce the status quo and perspectives that are unhelpful or damaging. Challenge without support can be self-serving (building oneself up while taking the other person down)and damaging to the self-esteem of the other person (by reinforcing feelings of inadequacy).

Supportive challenge has as its object, building the self-esteem of the other person while helping them to recognise the limitations of their existing mindset about a problem, person or issue. It is about helping the other person to be the best they are capable of being.

Learning to be honest

A fundamental value of action learning is the willingness to admit what you do not know or understand. This is often difficult in the social and business culture that we have today where knowledge and efficiency are so highly prized. However, honesty is the starting point for real learning.

Honesty requires trust and preparedness to be vulnerable. This is a lot easier if you are sharing with supportive friends. Openness builds if the group meets regularly and each person brings to the meeting the intention of working together to build personal and business effectiveness. Over time, honesty grows, relationships develop and effectiveness builds in all spheres of your lives.

Action learning as mutual coaching

Action learning can be a form of mutual coaching where people agree to take action on insights gained from the meetings. The value of the process is enhanced when each meeting includes a review of progress made since the previous meeting. Reflection on action and outcomes from those actions is fundamental to action learning.

If you engage in action learning you will be supported to go outside your comfort zone and try new things. You will be pleasantly surprised at what you are capable of achieving with the supportive challenge of reflective friends.

11 Reasons Why Your Affiliate Business Is Doomed To Failure

Many an online entrepreneur has been in this situation. You keep getting back up because you know there is light at the end of the tunnel. You have tried everything, but sometimes you find it hard opening up your computer and keeping on going. When will all this work pay off? Are my friends and family right after all? Maybe I’m wasting my time and should do something else.

But then it dawns on you what alternatives you have. 9 to 5 working hours, long commutes, annoying coworkers and bosses. The unemployment line and the jobs fairs. Careers days and lack of purpose. Capped wages and job uncertainty. You realise the reasons why you are persevering online, and carry on.

I have found myself in this situation many times. I often ask myself what the best course of action is. But it always comes back to time and financial freedom. I don’t want to trade time for money any more. I want something else. I don’t want to work for anyone else or trust anyone else with my income level. I don’t want to be tied up to a job I have no love for, or with people who don’t care for me.

Why Is Your Affiliate Business Doomed

Your affiliate business is never doomed until you are beaten! But for many people they will never achieve the time and financial freedom which they aspire to achieve. Some will give up too easily and blame their business for their shortcomings. Some will try for years only to give up later. But why do so many people struggle when trying to build a profitable online business?

Number 1 – Expectations

One of the top reasons I suspect is our expectations. We see the guru’s with their Lamborghini’s and expect to have one ourselves soon too. We start our online business fully believing this to be possible but we don’t get any results.

For one, it’s very easy to ‘show your wealth’ online. Don’t expect every guru to be telling the truth. It’s much cheaper to hire a Lamborghini for a day than it is to buy one outright. When it’s a business expense you can write it off against expenses. I’m not saying the top online entrepreneurs don’t achieve great things, just to keep it in perspective. Also, most people starting an online business aren’t interested in Lamborghini’s. They want to escape their unhappy jobs and lives. They want something better for themselves.

The second point with expectations is that we can expect something too early to come from a little effort online. When we don’t see results we assume our efforts have no effect at all. The truth is that our small actions online will magnify their effect over time. Some take months to get their online business going and some take years. If you can keep positive while also having a firm grounding in reality, it will serve to keep you going for the long haul, rather than spitting out your dummy just because you haven’t made huge amounts of money for a tiny little bit of work.

Ask yourself, “Do I really deserve success for the effort I have put in?”. Often the answer will be no. Only when you keep going through the difficult times and pursue knowledge as well as profit, will you arrive.

Number 2 – Shiny Object Syndrome

You’re doomed to failure online if you believe everything the next ‘shiny object’ promises you. Jumping from one ‘get rich quick’ scheme to another is a futile exercise. The problem with the internet is there is too much information. We are overloaded with information. If you start browsing around for programs to teach you how to make money online you will be met with a full email inbox every day.

Information overload leads to inactivity. And this leads to poverty. Just when you are about to take one course of action, another shiny new ‘system’ arrives which distracts you. Before you can apply the knowledge you have learned, you ditch it for another system which offers an even ‘easier’ way to do things online!

Number 3 – Distractions

Sticking to your course is difficult online. The shiny distractions, the people in your life and the well meaning friends and family who are trying to persuade you not to pursue the life of your dreams. They will try and distract you, and put you off the idea that you can make money with an internet business. The ‘status quo’ has a strong pull for people. Going a different route scares people, and they like to be comfortable.

Holding to a regular pattern of work online can present some challenges. Especially if you have a full time job and family commitments. Your employer doesn’t want your online business to work either and will undermine you at every chance. They don’t want you to be free of your employment if they can’t be!

All of these factors will conspire to draw you away from your internet business. No one is interested in your wealth and prosperity – only in maintaining the status quo. So number 3 on my list as to why your affiliate business is doomed to failure are distractions! Avoid distractions and focus wholeheartedly on your internet business whenever you can. Do this regularly and over a long period of time and it will start producing results.

Number 4 – Lack Of Knowledge

If we all had perfect knowledge we would all be living very different lives. But in reality we don’t know everything about everything. Our preconceived ideas come from our education, upbringing, location, the people around us and the people we spend most of our time with. Those people who advise you about your internet business – are they entrepreneurs? Are they successful?

The answer is probably not. Despite this we still look to people around us for advice which they couldn’t possibly be qualified to give. The problem is, everyone seems to be a self appointed fountain of knowledge for everything!

Starting out with an online business takes some know-how. Despite the fact that an internet business can change your life, most people would prefer to browse free forums and look at YouTube videos for their information. Would a doctor or a lawyer think about doing this for their career? Number 4 in the reasons of why your internet business is doomed to failure is lack of knowledge. But more than that it is the lack of interest in developing that knowledge and continuing to improve.

The Busy Fool – Number 5

Are you being a busy fool? Are you avoiding the important to do the unnecessary? For a long time I was focused on the wrong activities with my online business. I spent far too long creating shiny websites and adjusting images to make them look better. They didn’t even get any traffic, much less make any money. In the early stages I just thought people would randomly find my websites. All I had to do (I thought) was put them up and make them look good!

Several years (years of poverty) later, I realised my mistake. Don’t be a busy fool online. An affiliate business is performance related. It’s not like a job where you can ‘wing it’ and still get paid at the end of the month. If you don’t make any sales, you don’t get paid.

Concentrate your time on doing the vital money producing activities after you have learned what is necessary to build an internet business in the right way.

Number 6 – The Wrong Business Model

You can work really hard on your online business and still make no money. Conversely, you can do all the right things and make money much more easily. The difference is knowledge. Having a business model which works for you for the long term is a huge part of this.

Some affiliate products pay you once for a sale. After that the customer belongs to them. Further sales to the customer are not attributed to you, the affiliate. Think about the lifetime value of a loyal customer for a business. If you choose an affiliate program which rewards you for the lifetime value of a customer, you are gearing your activities to be profitable in the future, even after the initial sale.

Membership products allow affiliates to earn month after month for a single sale. Are you using them? Struggling affiliates are missing a trick with this one. Membership sales can last a lifetime for each customer.

Are you using a built in sales team and up-sells? A built in sales team can dramatically improve your bottom line as an affiliate. This is particularly true of high ticket sales. Use all these aspects in conjunction with each other for maximum effect. Sell single items for minimum commission and you will have a long road ahead of you to make your business viable and to quit your job (if that’s one of your goals).

Number 7 – Lack Of Momentum

Top affiliates don’t dabble with their business. They know it has the potential to transform their lives massively. They take massive action on a daily basis. If you’re dabbling with your business maybe it’s time to take stock. Do you have what it takes to make it work or is this just a hobby?

Treat your business like a hobby and it will pay you accordingly. Treat it like a real business and it will respond in kind. Remember why you started an online business in the first place. It wasn’t to add to your to ‘do list’ and keep you busy. Remind yourself why you are bothering with an online business. Set some serious heavy weight goals for your business and take action every day to achieve them.

Momentum comes from working hard in a certain direction. When you see results your motivation increases. You learn what works and work harder in those areas. If you lack focus it can become a habit to wander and dawdle. Focus on what you can do to change your state and do something positive for your business.

Number 8 You Don’t Set Goals

Your online business is doomed to failure if you don’t set any goals. How can you hit a target if you don’t know what it is or where it is? If you work consistently but have no goals it could be you are filling time in to distract yourself or keep busy. Most achievements are accomplished through having specific and time bound goals. Goals should be realistic but also they should highly motivate you too.

Write down some realistic goals which you are massively motivated by. Break them down into daily action steps and keep going.

Many would-be internet entrepreneurs lose track of their bigger dreams and get bogged down in the daily tasks. As an entrepreneur you need to think of the bigger picture and do the daily tasks as well. You need to see the overview of your life and your business, and not get ‘stuck’ in the ‘technician’ role of daily tasks.

Number 9 – Self Image

How do you see yourself? What about when no one is looking? Or when you are around certain people? Your self image is such an important part of your success. See yourself as a success and you will become one. See yourself as a failure and you will become one.

The self image is an important invisible barrier to success in all endeavors. Read Psycho-cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz if you are serious about growing your business.

How do you see yourself? How do you relate to money coming in? And going out? How do you interact with other people in life? How do you feel about money? The answers to these questions can lead to a better understanding of our inner world and how we see ourselves. Unless we change our inner world we have very little chance of changing our outer circumstances. Simply because we fall back to our default ‘comfort zone’ and perpetuate our same problems which we know and feel ‘safe’ with. They are based around our self image, which we have built up over our lifetime.

Number 10 – Your 10 Best Friends

Like attracts like. You can tell what kind of person someone is by looking closely at the their 10 best friends. The average of all their income will usually give you yours. You’ve probably heard the saying ‘birds of a feather flock together’. If you spend time with people who constantly complain about lack of money, trouble with their partners and work colleagues, it will be more difficult to change your reality from theirs.

Find people who support your changing values and have goals in common with you. Spend less time with people who don’t support your goals and dreams. Notice how some people make you feel about your goals and aspirations.

Many online businesses are doomed to failure because of this one simple thing. You are alone with your online business. You don’t have anyone around you to support your new direction, learning and goals. In fact, many of your closest friends probably secretly hope you will fail, simply because they don’t want to improve themselves. You succeeding means the ‘status quo’ changes. The social status bar has changed and they may see themselves as more of a failure measured against you by some unconscious competitiveness, which we all have a little of.

Find a community of entrepreneurs to help you focus on your goals and encourage you forwards.

The Wrong Activities – Number 11

You mean well and you work hard with your online business. Unfortunately you keep doing the same activities. Those activities which will only take you to your ultimate goal in a very long time. Maybe you just do a blog every day, hoping to get found on Google for your work. Perhaps you expect Google to be your savior? If you’re waiting for Google to rank your articles before you make any money you might be in for a long wait. Plus, Google may even never rank you highly enough to get a realistic amount of visitors to your website.

Based on 1% of your visitors turning into buyers, how does your business look now? Remember the internet is an information gathering tool. No-one owes you a living. Certainly Google doesn’t. You can even be hit by a penalty, or never rank in the first place.

Do you share your articles? Blogging is a good cheap source of traffic but you also need to share your content. Don’t expect Google to work for you, it’s too busy working for itself!

So my number 10 reason why your internet business is doomed to failure is that you’re doing the wrong things. Doing the wrong things can only be good if you learn from it, after noticing it, and then alter your activities accordingly.

Of course it all takes time. Even hard work and dedication falls on deaf ears from time to time. You need to suck it up and remember that it is just a business..

Keep working and turning up. Eventually your business will thrive, but only if you do it right, get the right education from the start, join a community and keep working hard both on your business and on yourself.

Keep reminding yourself that an internet business is still a business. But it’s not like any other business. If you do it right and stick at it for long enough and work hard in the right direction it can give you a lot more than most businesses.

Time freedom, financial freedom and geographical freedom are all things which an internet based business can offer. But for most people it is just the simple things that really matter. Things like spending more time with friends and family, not having to work for anyone else, and working in your own way. For some it’s the income which has held their lives back for long enough to want to do something about it.

Jeff Gardner’s Free Advertising Academy Review – (Affiliate Business Opportunity Review)

Jeff Gardner’s Free Advertising Academy is a new business opportunity that has launched recently on the Internet. The program is a based on a traffic generating training program and affiliate opportunity. So what is the training and can you find success with this business? Here is a simple review.

Jeff Gardner is a well known Internet marketer and affiliate business owner on the Internet. His latest creation in the Internet based business opportunity industry is the Free Advertising Academy. The program and business comes with a monthly investment of $27 dollars. With the investment the individual will receive training programs on how to drive traffic using free methods of marketing on the Internet. Free methods of marketing by far are the best ways to create traffic, but without a full understanding of keyword knowledge failure can occur.

The FAA also comes with an affiliate opportunity built in through what is known as ClickBank’s Order Processing & Tracking System. For each member that signs up with your affiliate link through the FAA system the individual will retain a few dollars of commission for 12 months. Doing the math is simple and would mean that each individual would need to take the training serious to drive the 1000’s of individuals needed to create a substantial income with this particular business opportunity.

The Free Advertising Academy system is a good system that many new to Internet marketing could use to get their feet wet on how to effectively learn free methods of marketing online. However, the affiliate opportunity is not a “get rich quick” business as are any online opportunities. For those of us who have found success on the Internet understand that it comes through solid training, one on one mentoring and applying massive action with the training into the opportunity. As of this time I have yet to see anyone create substantial income on a low start up cost and so it is best to complete your due diligence before joining any online or Internet based business opportunity.

Online Business Alliance Review – An Affiliate Marketing Business Opportunity

Online Business Alliance is an affiliate marketing business opportunity that has been around for some time now. Based in the affiliate marketing industry and touting to help create a substantial income for its members, can you truly find success with OBA?

HERE IS A SIMPLE REVIEW OF THE OBA BUSINESS AND OPPORTUNITY.

Online Business Alliance is part of the ever and fast growing affiliate marketing business opportunity industry. There seems to be thousands of these types of opportunities online anymore and all touting to help you, the member, create a huge and substantial income online. The cost of the program is a mere $5 one time fee with no recurring fee involved. Although this does sound enticing, finding massive success through affiliate marketing on the internet is difficult and requires solid effort and training.

The OBA offers what they call a turnkey automated money making opportunity complete with e-books, replicated websites, hosting, landing pages and products to sell from the replicated site. The OBA program does offer some training in Internet marketing, but does seem to lack when it comes to 1-on-1 coaching and mentoring which is vital to the newbie to starting an online business.

The compensation plan is built on affiliate marketing through the products and through recruiting others into the business opportunity itself. With such a small entry fee and the commission earned through recruitment, this will literally require the recruitment of not 100’s, but literally 1000’s of individuals into the organization monthly to create a substantial income for the affiliate business owner. The products themselves are legitimate, but will only be in high demand through your solid Internet marketing efforts. This too with the small compensation structure per sale require a solid stream of traffic and conversion monthly.

Online Business Alliance is a legitimate affiliate marketing business opportunity, but the fact remains that creating a massive income from such a small initial investment has yet to be seen. It is best to complete your due diligence before joining any online business or program, and at least talk to someone live to get those questions answered. For those of us who have found success online however, it has come through solid Internet marketing training, solid mentoring and coaching as well as the willingness to to apply massive action!

An Autopilot Online Business System Anyone Can Use

I started looking into online business models around 20 years ago. Initially I started out with eBay the auction giant. I bought and sold from the site and made a bit of extra money in between jobs.

After a while I decided there had to be a better way to earn money using the internet. I bought an eBook and decided this was probably the best model for selling online. It was a sale which didn’t require anyone to personally be there. It was completely automated and because of the digital product it could be sold internationally, with no postage costs.

Although I knew nothing of how to operate a business like this successfully, I had stumbled on the best possible model for selling online. Nothing could stop me learning and despite many failures, I persevered until I found a business model which works.

It’s called affiliate marketing and allows anyone to sell someone else’s products over the internet. By linking to another product and recommending it, anyone can earn a commission if their link takes a customer to a product and makes a purchase.

Affiliate marketing is a bit like recommending a friend to a nice restaurant. Only, with affiliate marketing, you get to earn a commission if your friend goes to the restaurant which you recommended.

Despite finding this business model shortly after moving on from eBay, it was a while before I found any lasting success with it. I think that’s partly because, at the time, there was very little help available on the internet for affiliate marketers. There were many “how to” courses which I bought, and some were more useful than others. Despite all my “failures”, I persevered and found a good community to learn from.

This, I believe, is a major key to the success of many online entrepreneurs. They don’t do it alone, they have help. I struggled for years because I didn’t know who to turn to for help. It is possible to have success with an online business quite quickly, if you know the best possible route to take, and of course if you have the courage to go through on all the action steps.

The ultimate goal of course, with an online business, is financial freedom. Initially though this wasn’t my goal. My goal was to be earning enough to survive from the internet without a job. I also wanted to earn in a way which was conducive to my happiness. Many of the jobs I had done had been stressful and lowly paid. The internet offered a means to earn from the comfort of my own home. At the time, just having a purpose and a direction was enough, even if it didn’t make money immediately.

As time wore on though, I did wonder whether all this effort was really worth my time. I had made some progress, but there were many times when I thought about throwing it all in. I’m sure this is the same for many others who are out there working away at their various online pursuits.

What kept me going was the simple idea of the eBook I had bought. Someone, somewhere had made a commission from me buying that eBook and downloading it. I was going to do the same thing over and over.

One of my early successes was selling an affiliate marketing “how to” course which I sold using AdWords adverts and a landing page. The automation involved is one of the best things about an online business. It allows you to build a scalable business from anywhere in the world! I ran an advert which sent people straight to a landing page. From there I collected the emails with a piece of software known as an auto-responder.

Emails were automatically delivered to the subscribers and I started selling a few courses. I was just at the point where I could start increasing my budget to make more sales and my advertising platform got shut down. I was inconsolable! It hit me hard and I went through a long period of just having given up. I couldn’t reinstate my account whatever I tried!

The internet is very forgiving though. Before long I was purchasing another course and learning something new. I did get stuck in learning mode for a long time. But, I still use the skills I learned years ago even now.

I got onto another course. This one taught a different approach. It was called The Keyword Academy and the course taught how to target specific keywords with articles and rank them on Google. It’s a long time ago now and I’m sure the techniques are outdated. Things change quickly on the internet. After a good 6 months to a year I got almost nothing for all my work. I had built several websites but most of them were utterly useless!

I really don’t know why I kept going and most (sensible) people would have given up. What kept me going was the idea of a business which ran itself, selling digital products over and over again.

I eventually found the aforementioned community and that’s where I am now. If I had only had access to other people back then! A mentor is definitely what you need with an internet business. It’s far too hard to go it alone. Get access to a community and learn by watching and modelling people who are already being successful.

Is An Affiliate Marketing Business Right For Me?

Many people want to start an affiliate marketing business because they’ve heard it’s an easy way to make money on the internet. Undoubtedly, it’s one of the simplest ways to start your own online business. But that doesn’t mean that it’s a guaranteed way to make money online.

Before you start your affiliate marketing business, there are several important questions that you need to answer.

Before you start, ask yourself these 5 questions:

1. Do You Have An Interest In A Specific Market?

As an affiliate marketer, your job is to recommend products or services to a target audience for them to buy. It’s challenging to recommend and sell something that doesn’t really interest you. People can tell if you have a personal connection to a product and service or if you’re simply trying to make a quick buck.

2. Would You Recommend Products Without Getting Paid?

An affiliate marketer doesn’t have to create a product, organize payment systems, manage product delivery or deal with customer queries. The product creator takes care of all that. However, product creators use affiliates to do their marketing for them. If the affiliate doesn’t sell anything, they don’t get paid.

3. Are You Prepared To Create Content Regularly On Your Website?

It is possible to make money with affiliate marketing without a website. But, with your own website, it helps to establish you as an authority in your market and build trust with your audience. A website needs to be updated on a regular basis, or the information on it will become outdated and ignored by the search engines.

4. Will You Treat It Like A Real Business?

An affiliate marketing business isn’t going to earn you millions overnight. You can make a profit, but it will take some time. You’ll need to devote time, money and resources to make it work. If you deal with it like a hobby, that’s all it ever will be and, most likely, a pricey one too.

5. Are You Ready To Learn New Skills?

The internet makes it possible for you reach customers from all over the world. But it is competitive and you have to stay on top of your game. The temptation can be to jump in and start an affiliate marketing business without any real system or plan. You will need to take time to learn new skills and marketing techniques so that your business can flourish.

To Do List For Building An Affiliate Marketing Business

The successful affiliate has a plan, follows up, and is consistent. Though much is said about what aspect of affiliate marketing is the most important, the truth is, it is all important and each step is necessary to build a successful affiliate marketing plan. Here is a good “To Do” list for affiliates. When you get one started and working, move to the next, but continue to nourish the ones you have set up. Don’t forget to add a few of your own plans to your list.

Begin immediately building your personal list. Nearly everything you do is directed towards building your own list of customers.

Educate yourself. Become an expert in your field. Know the products you plan to sell, become a master and know how to use them sideways and back. Know the websites you are affiliated with. Become very familiar with them so you can direct your visitors properly. Start a blog and post as you learn. Add links to the information you post with your affiliate codes.

Website. It’s a good idea to have a landing-place for your followers. Set up a website, start a blog, set up your own social networking sites, set up a squeeze page and perhaps, eventually, one of each.

Write articles. You can join article submission websites like EzineArticles. Submitting articles to these sites can be great for SEO if it is done correctly. You can put your links in the resource box. Write new articles often and establish yourself as an expert in your field. Focus on the problem and solutions people are looking for in the market.

Post, tweet, and pin it.Make useful and interesting comments on Forums. Utilize Facebook, LinkedIn, My Space, Web Boards, Twitter, Chat Rooms, Pinterest and others. Affiliate marketing forums of all kinds exist and you should become a regular. Look for questions people are asking and find the answers. Always be professional. Avoid unkind or lewd comments. Once you establish yourself, people will begin to trust your opinion and start clicking on your links.

Write an awesome review. People always want to read what a product does and how it will help them before they purchase. Make sure it is well written and simple to follow. Use screen shots of the software. Don’t forget a link, but don’t pepper it with links. One or two will do.

Write an eBook, something that will spread quickly. Produce a short 25 page report on a subject that you are an expert in. If you are not expert yet, study the forums; find out what people are asking and study. You can distribute your book all over the internet at a low price or free. Tell people they are welcome to give it away, sell it or put it on their website. You can kick it off yourself by selling it on eBay for a small amount. If your book is informative and useful and not filled with affiliate ads, it may spread quite well.

Post Videos on YouTube. YouTube has become the visual library of the internet. People go to YouTube for all sorts of questions. This is a quick way to build trust because people see or hear a real person. Google owns YouTube so you’ll be high in the rankings. Provide your link under the video.

Don’t limit your audience, but don’t go out of your league. Make a list of everyone who can use our product. For example, young people wanting to learn, those who trade as a hobby, those who trade as a side job, experts in the trading field, people who educate others, people who sell commodities, etc. Focus on the ones you can influence and help them, but don’t try to teach people who are more knowledgeable than you are how to trade. Just be yourself and be honest about what you are selling. Direct them to the website and let the experts at Gecko take over.

Blogs are a great way to socialize with others. Comment on other people’s blogs and leave a link to your blog. Offer to write articles for others and ask others to write for you. Offer real information, not just a nice post. Be yourself in your writing, but be your best self. You may enjoy slang but there are many people out there that may be offended by it, stay safe and avoid anything that can offend especially if you are guest on someone else’s blog. Also remember that you may be writing to a worldwide audience and local slang may not be understood. Be professional.

Submit your site to search engines and directories. There are services available like Pingler where you can notify each time you update your blog. You can use the word press plugin to create a sitemap which automatically notifies the major engines about your blog updates.

Use graphics and visual aids. Utilize banners, box shots and screen shots properly. If the company you are selling for has won awards, post them to create customer trust. Visual aids are as important as anything else you will do and an aid to everything you do.

Be a loyal customer. If you use the product yourself and let your readers know that you endorse it, this instills an overall sense of trust in the product to your customers.

The great thing about life is that we learn more as we experience more. The longer you are in the business the more you will learn what to do next. Trial and error are great teachers. Soon you will be the expert.

Last but not least, the biggest item on your To-Do list should be: “Don’t give up!”
